John and Elena grew up parallel to one another in Northern Virginia and, although John went to elementary school with many of Elena's soon-to-be high school besties, they never officially crossed paths until freshman year of college at University of Delaware (Roll Hens!). Well, besides John's legendary "DM slide" over Gmail chat in 5th grade ("heyy, sup?" "nmjc, wbu?")...

A familiar friendly face at a big new school turned into a true best friendship, until finally one day John and Elena realized they were perfect for each other. John asked Elena to be his girlfriend in nosebleed seats at an Eric Church concert, and they spent the rest of their college experience inseparable.

Fast forward to March 2023 - John surprised Elena with a "birthday" trip to Fairbanks, Alaska where they watched the northern lights, shredded some slopes, went dog sledding, and John asked Elena to be his wife.

We can't wait to celebrate our love story, and the lifetime of love ahead, with our favorite people in September 2024. See you on the dancefloor!
